On 5th February 2010, I was again in the AMU campus- CGC area in the sprawling green lawns facing the grand Sir Syed Building Complex in the soothing warm sunshine of early Spring! Dr Parvez Talib is the witness! The feeling was immense, the following words may be a poor subsitute:
Tere Aagosh mein aane se yeh ma’loom hota hai
Zindagi I’lm o Naseehat ke siwa kuchh bhi nahin
The AMU Tarana: the lines:
Jo taaq e haram mein roshan hai woh shama yehan bhi jalti hai!
Wah kya baat hai! Noor-un A’la Noor!!
“Light and Learning” is also the moto of my alma mater University of Lucknow!!

I LOVE AMU TARANA.

Thanks to you!!!
Fanoos banke jiski hifazat hawa kare,
Wo shama kya bujhe jise raushan khuda kare…
This is what i feel for amu and its students.

I am delighted to see the Tarana online, it is amazing. I whole heartedly praise the Google which has made wonders and brings your imaginations to reality I wish some Urdu site could do such things. It would have been more amazing if this Tarana was presented in its original script, Urdu.

On July 28, 2006 I first time came across this site and listened to my favorite tarana. I closed my eyes and felt I am in Aligarh. This tarana brought back some very good memories. Since July 28, I have been listening to the tarana, as well as reading great comments from others. Thank Mohib Sahib.
Sincerely,
Naim

It really hepnatise all of us as being an AMU, alumni. I think this is the only poem in this world that can change the destiny of the AMU. It works like a catalyst. And this is no denying fact that no evil could ever even dare to touch it.
We the “Bulbuls” of the chaman will always be there with our swords of knowledge against the odds.
First of all, I am thankful to god without whose blessings, this miracle could never be possible. I am obliged to the university who built the character like majaz and many more and accepting me as a part of this chaman.
And at the end, I pay my homage to our great legend SIR SYED AHMAD KHAN with these words of promise:
jo abr yahaaN se uThThega, vo saare jahaaN par barsegaa
har juu-e-ravaan par barsegaa, har koh-e-garaaN par barsegaa
har sard-o-saman par barsegaa, har dasht-o-daman par barsegaa
Khud apne chaman par barsegaa, GhairoN ke chaman par barsegaa
har shahr-e-tarab par garjegaa, har qasr-e-tarab par kaRkegaa

ye abr hameshaa barsaa hai, ye abr hameshaa barsegaa
ye abr hameshaa barsaa hai, ye abr hameshaa barsegaa
ye abr hameshaa barsaa hai, ye abr hameshaa barsegaa
barsegaa, barsegaa, barsegaa…………………..
