koi haalat nahin ye haalat hai
ye to aashobnaak soorat hai
anjuman mein ye meri khaamoshi
burdbaari nahin hai wahshat hai
tujhse ye gaah gaah ka shikwa
jab talak hai basa-ganeemat hai
khwashien dil ka sath chhor gayiiN
ye aziyat badi aziyat hai
log masroof jaante hain mujhe
yaan mera gham hi meri fursat hai
tanz pairaa-e-tabassum mein
is takalluf ki kya zaroorat hai
hamne dekha to hamne ye dekha
jo nahin hai wo khuubsurat hai
waar karne ko jaanisar aayein
ye to eesaar hai inayat hai
garm-joshi aur is qadar kya baat
kya tumhein mujhse kuch shikayat hai
ab nikal aao apne andar se
ghar mein saamaan ki zaroorat hai
aaj ka din bhi aish se guzra
sar se paa tak badan salamat hai
