i knew khan ishtiaq when i was 10 yrs old he was came from bombay that days
to university court meeting .Due to the member of Court ,booked guest house
but my father,s friends came to my house 6 Begum Mehmood ,tar wala banglow
now both of are done my father Azizuddin shb and ishtiaq chacha i missed both when i though those days

Majaz has really done a marvellous job, and his tarana is a master piece.

but the part which is not included in tarana, mostly he is talking about wine, alchohol,

he was not a good person we can say but a good poet.

that why aligarian galious from ISHTIAQ M KHAN WHO GIVE THE TARANA TO ALIGARH , AP KO MAJAZ SAHIB KI KITNI NAZAMAY YAAD HAI? BUT TARANA U REMEMBER IT WHY? ISHTIYAQ SAHAB NE NAZER E ALIGARH KO TARANA E ALIGARH MAY BADLA THA THO HAR AIK KEY SATH INSAF KAREY AUR ISHTIYAQ MARHOOM KA NAAM BHI TARANAY KEY SAATH JOOUR DAE YAHIE INSAAF HOGA

Assalam-alaikum,

I belong to a family of Aligarians ,and am one myself,
i just read the original nazm of Majaz and came down to the
enteries from around the world . I just wonder at the foresight of Majaz saab (JO ABR YAHAN SE UHTEGA, WO SAARE JAHAN PE BARSEGA),
and of course of Sir Syed saab .they saw the place on the world map
as mecca of education and this very webpage is testomony of their foresight.

i always remember the kind of feeling i have always gone through when ever read or heard this Great “TARANA”
“Sare rongte khare ho jate hain”
I wont be wrong if i would say “TARANA ALIGS KA DINO DHARAM HAI” It gives us energy and inspiration.
