shaaiir huN meraa kaam nahiiN falsafaa-raanii
khaltii hai mujhe Thhos nataaij ki garaanii
insaan ki tasveer nayii ho ke puraanii
matloob mujhe husn hai aur husn-e-ma’anii
Allah ke bandoN se mujhe bair nahiiN hai
yaani merii duniyaa meiN ko’ii Gair nahiiN hai
qaumoN ki hilaayakat ka hunar dekh rahaa huN

u shouldnt forget that the pakistani anthem that we recite/sing everyday is his composition
so i still praise him in that respect
nonetheless his poetry is superb as well
