hmmmm..kiya kahain janab Sahir sahib….what ever u have written is perfect, for any one,,,, in such siuations where one really has gone through the life and its bitterness…and some times really!!!!!need not some one to be with u . bilkul is tarah as if these lines have written for so many of us…who have no hopes now”as te candles ray is flickering…just in the hope to be vanished..”.,,,Ab na wo hain , na wo maiN hooN..or

I wish Sahir had not joined bollywood,it was sheer waste of his real talent in urdu literature.I love his strong usage of urdu words along with realities of life.

Sahir Ludhianvi has enriched poetry and the only regret most of our generation has is our inability to read urdu fluently. One of the greatest inspired deeds for which we will forever be indebted to the Indian film industry is to bring a poet of such depth to the masses for as long as the Indian film industry and the discerning listeners exist. Had it not been for the film industry Sahir would have remained confined to the Urdu reading population.
