Thanks again, the meaning of the tough words make it so easy to appreciate this. Such a joy.
Kamaal hai, mazaa aa gaya.
Kafi Azmi saheb is certainly one of the great progressive poet. This is great observation on contempory state.May I draw attention to lines 3-4 for comparison with `Jazaa ka hal sunAyeN ,Sazaa ki baat kareN
Milaa ho jin ko khuda ,vo khuda ki baat kareN
Harek daur ka mazhab ik naya khuda laya
KareN to baat magar kis khuda se baat kareN`
First two lines compare with FAIZ Saheb`s
`—–isee tarha se khilaye haiN hum ne aag meN Phool
Na apani jeet nayii hai na unki haar nayii
Kyaaaaaa baat…
Bahooooooot Khooob
waah..kya baat hai!
i m just crazy for urdu ..
i felt the naming of the work fabulously intimate with the temperament of the theme which represent the time as it was.
it’s proverabial!
i’m feeling tempted to remember the opening lines of a Charles Dickens’ classic(A Tale of Two Cities):
“……..best of the times……….worst of the times………………”
BADI MEHARBANI DOSTON ! PARDES MEIN ALIGARH WALON KA SAATH MILA HAI ,LAGA RAHA HAI AB ZINDAGI KHOOB KATEGI !
Many many thanks for making us hear the voice of this Great Son and Poet of Hindustan.
And this great nazm of his in his own voice. Thank you again.
And please do not make comparisons between the lines of Great Poets . They were all Humanists. If you want to see the similarity between poets then check the poetry of Rabindra Nath Tagore and Faiz Ahmed Faiz and you will see the impact of Tagore on Faiz. Where Tagore left the lines Faiz Ahmed Faiz picks up.
Its like a torch that was lit long ago and has been passed down the hands. Nazms and Lines of Faiz and Lines of Sahir Ludhianvi and then the Lines of Kafi Azmi.
algharians!u r great………u have done some thing extra-ordinary.
qadam-qadam par diye haiN vo rahzanoN ne fareb

Again this sher is Hasil-e-ghazal/nazm.!
Makes Kaifi Sahib immortal.!!
