Mohib sahib,

aakhri she’r is ghazal ka naheeN hai. baihr aur qaafiya donoN hi mukhtalif haiN.

My bad, the second line is:

ghaTte baRhte faasiloN kaa saat(h) hai

Can saat be written for saath?

stanvir August 28, 2006 at 5:08 pm

saat and saath are parsed the same as far as ‘taqtee’ is concerned. However, correct me if I am wrong, but the first misra is still not in the same baihr as the rest of the ghazal.

Really sorry, sometimes the mind refuses to work. Especially when you are pre-occupied with something else. :-)

Thanks so much for pointing out the error. I have made the correction, it should be fine now.
