(GhuncheN : flower-buds; lutf-e-shaguftagii : pleasure of blooming; baad-e-sabaa : morning breeze; tohmat-e-aavaargii : allegation of misdemenour)
jab chhiR gayii hai kaakul-e-shab rang kii Ghazal
aise maiN ek qasiidah-e-ruKhsaar bhii sahii
(kaakul-e-shab rang : tresses as dark as night; qasiidah-e-ruKhsaar : paean in praise of face)
“Mahir” se ijtinaab na farmaayeN ahl-e-dil
acchoN ke saath aik gunehgaar bhii sahii

…sometime back I was searching about Mahirul Qadri on search engine as his life as many interesting aspects.
I came across this the following (though it has no connection with the ghazal or your post)
[In the ealier sixties, a staunch Wahabi/Deobandi poet and Molvi arrived in South Africa posing as a Sunni and Aashiq-e-Rasool. He was the guest of the Buzme Adab Society. His name was Mahirul Qadri. Look at the similarity of their names. He deceived a lot of Sunnis and attacked the great Sunni Ulema subsequently in his book. Dear Muslims, by Tahirul Qadri refusing to accept the I'jma on the issue of Diyat, he is not only trying to prove that he is a Mujtahid, but on par with them. We ask you: do you think that this man is on par with Imam A?zam, Imam Abu Hanifa (alaihir rahmah), who was the Imam-e-Mujtahid?]
