Salaam,
glad to see the recent updates.
couple of minor corrections for this lovely Faiz ghazal:
1. In the first sher, it is “jahaan”, not “jahaaN”.
The ending “n” sound is pronounced.
2. In the last sher, it is “muskuraa jo diye”, not “to diye”.
nayaa saal mubaarak ho!
bahaar
shukriyaa bahaar saahab!
aapko bhii nayaa saal mubaarak ho.
Khaaksaar,
Mohib
I really feel great when i see the shayri of Faiz here.
bahaar,
Agha Shahid Ali’s edition also shows jahaaN (nasalization) and “to diye”.
Cheers.
