Thanks for posting this beautiful Ghazal. Faraz sahab is one of the greatest Urdu poets of our times. I write under the pen-name of ‘Sahir Merathi’. I said this couplet ‘filbadih’ as an ode to Faraz sahab after reading this Ghazal.

‘Sahir’ is ahd meiN woh zauq-e-adab chaahta hooN
Tere har she’r ko ‘Faraz’ jo zinda rakhe

kyaa Khoob ghazal hai!
post karne ka bohat shukriya,

arz hai k matle ke duusre misre meN lafz “ab” nahiiN hona chaahiye. Video men dekheN to misra yuuN hai:

“kis ko sairaab kare vo kise pyaasa rakhe”

Aik ghalti hai pehle shair k dusre misray me:
“kisko sehraa ab kare vo kise pyaasaa rakhe”
isme “sehraa ab” nahi “sairaab” ka lafz hai yani ke
“kisko sairaab ab kare vo kise pyaasaa rakhe”

umr bhar kaun nibhaataa hai talluq itnaa
ai merii jaan ke dushman tujhe Allah rakhe
vaah bahut khoob.
